“Hannya” tells a story originating in ancient Japan. A woman betrayed by her love transforms into a demon due to the hatred, rage, and jealousy she feels toward him. Hannya reminds us that although we may face difficulties in life that seem insurmountable, we must maintain our composure. The internal pain we hold onto can be much worse than events that caused it.
